A look at Omar Rudberg’s sexuality

Omar Rudberg is a Venezuelan-Swedish singer who achieved global fame and acclaim for playing Simon in Netflix’s Young Royals. Rudberg participated in Swedish talent show Talang in 2010 before joining the boyband FO&O in 2013. The band split after performing in the final of Swedish reality music competition Melodifestivalen 2017.
Que Pasa, Omar’s first solo single, featured Swedish rapper Lamix. Rudberg performed the hit single Om om och om igen in Melodifestivalen 2019, but he didn’t make it past the semi-finals. The song became Omar’s highest ranking solo single as it became a top 20 hit in Sweden.

We learn early on that Simon, Omar’s character in Young Royals, is gay. Simon mentions to his dad that he is gay.
Omar portrays Simon’s character expertly, but Rudberg isn’t gay in real life.
Omar prefers not to label himself and states that he likes both boys and girls
Omar set the record straight about his sexuality in a 2019 interview with QX magazine.
He stated that he doesn’t label his sexuality and is attracted to both boys and girls. Omar explained:
“Sometimes I hang out with boys, something with girls. It varies. I don’t know if it’s due to age, that I’m still young. I fell that I am lost, not in a bad way, but lost in life only.”
